Lenny Pickett (born April 10, 1954) is an American saxophonist and musical director of the Saturday Night Live band. From 1973 to 1981 he was a member of the band Tower of Power. Pickett has worked extensively as a session musician for a wide range of performers and genres.
10. Mai 2021 · In 1998, Tony Z released his second record for Tone Cool, Kiss My Blues. The record featured another all-star cast including Cornell Dupree on guitar, Bernard "Pretty" Purdie on drums again, Chuck Rainey on bass, Lenny Pickett on sax and Kim Wilson blowing harp on two tracks.

22. Okt. 2010 · My all-time favourite sax solo of any rock/blues/pop category has to be Lenny on Little Feat's "Mercenary Territory", on the "Waiting For Columbus" live album. I've been mesmerized since 1984 or 85 when I first heard it.
