The Best of Delaney & Bonnie is a compilation album of music recorded by Delaney & Bonnie and Friends during the years 1969-71. The album is available in two editions. The first edition, released in 1972 by Atco Records (catalog no. SD 7014, out of print) contains songs from Delaney and Bonnie's four albums on the Atco and Elektra labels

Delaney and Bonnie are generally best remembered for their albums On Tour with Eric Clapton and Motel Shot. On Tour was their best-selling album by far, and is (except for their version of "Come On in My Kitchen" with Duane Allman, released after Delaney and Bonnie's breakup and Allman's death) the only official document of their live work.
Delaney & Bonnie - Living On The Open Road (April 1970) By the time Duane recorded this song in New York, in the spring of 1970, his ‘59 Gibson Les Paul Standard Cherry Burst was absolutely magical. The fluidity of his phrasing on slide is absolutely masterful.
