  6. Helen O'Connell. American singer, actress, and dancer. Born May 23, 1920, in Lima, Ohio, USA. Died September 9, 1993 in San Diego, California, USA. Helen was a popular vocalist of the 1940s Big Band era. She began her career touring with Jimmy Richards' nine-piece orchestra and joined Jimmy Dorsey's orchestra as lead female singer in 1939.
