21. Juli 2011 · Mitridate muss vor der Übermacht der Römer kapitulieren. Um nicht lebend in deren Gefangenschaft zu geraten, hat er sich selbst mit dem Schwert eine tödliche Wunde zugefügt. Er verzeiht Sifare und hofft, dieser könne mit Aspasia glücklich werden. Sifare will daraufhin den Tod des Vaters an seinem Bruder Farnace rächen.
