Juli 2002 · "Shape Of Things That Are And Were" has almost a hint of "Shape Of Things To Come"; an original number by George and the album's "ballad", in it being a slow piece, but with some good moves. "Last Train To Clarksville" made it onto Benson's GEORGE BENSON COLLECTION Anthology, for its driving horn section and Charles Covington's organ, once again.
Shape of Things to Come is the fifth studio album by the American guitarist George Benson, recorded in 1968 and arranged by Don Sebesky. It was his first album for A&M Records and his first album to be produced by Creed Taylor, who would remain his producer until 1976.
The book and its 1936 film adaptation Things to Come predict events such as a Second World War and the collapse of social order until a world state is formed, whereas the 1979 film involves a high-tech future involving robots and spaceships.
