  1. 9. Jan. 2024 · SANTA MONICA, CA —For 33 consecutive years, Santa Monica College (SMC) has maintained a streak as the No.1 transfer college to the University of California (UC) system, per 2022-2023 transfer data released by the UC Information Center.

  2. SMC has transferred the most number of students to the UC in California. About 85% of all junior transfer students accepted into a UC came from California Community Colleges. SMC also transfers the most African-American and Chicano/Latino students into the UC.
