Fall Out Boy is an American rock band from Wilmette, Illinois, consisting of Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman.
So Much (For) Stardust (2023-present)
On December 25, 2022, the band a video titled "A Claymation Fall Out Boy Celebration", hinting at new music. On January 11, 2023, Oli Sykes, the lead singer of Bring Me the Horizon, revealed he'd been sent a package by Fall Out Boy. The package contained a pink seashell, labeled 1 of 13, along with a piece of paper with the phrase "Love from the Other Side" on it. The band placed a total of twelve other packages containing the same format of Skyes' around the world as a way of revealing song titles. On January 12, they announced that “Love from the Other Side” would be released on January 18. On January 18, the band announced the title and release date of their eighth studio album. On January 23, they announced that "Heartbreak Feels So Good" would be released on January 25. On March 3, they revealed the album's track listing. On June 28, following the release of "We Didn't Start the Fire", the song became a bonus track on the album via streaming services. On April 12, 2024, they announced that they'd be returning to China to perform a mini tour after having not been to the country since 2018.

One guy they enlisted, Brandon Hamm, quit during rehearsal because he didn't like this song. After a couple more false starts with other guitarists, Stump decided to do the job himself on the tour.
