Guitarist Frankie Sullivan says the latest arrival has lent the group a new lease of life. Jamison died in September 2014, aged 63. Fellow vocalist Dave Bickler remains part of the band.

Watch on YouTube. Legendary rock band Survivor is embarking on their next chapter with a new member who has seemingly given new life to one of rock ‘n’ roll’s preeminent bands. With 22-year-old Nashville resident Cameron Barton assuming lead vocalist duties, the group will take their trademark arena rock sound to their loyal and devoted fan base.
Cameron Barton is a 21-year-old Nashville resident who joined Survivor in 2016 as the new lead singer. He replaced Jimi Jamison, who passed away in 2014, and impressed the band with his powerhouse vocal style and work ethic.
In September 2015, Survivor appeared at a showcase for talent buyers down in Nashville, with new vocalist 21-year-old Cameron Barton singing alongside Dave Bickler. In March 2016, Bickler quit the band; this was announced via an edit on Survivor's Twitter page.
