Eldra Patrick DeBarge (* 4. Juni 1961 in Detroit, Michigan) ist ein US-amerikanischer Sänger, Songwriter und Musiker. Er war der Mittelpunkt und Hauptsänger der Familiengruppe DeBarge. Eldra "El" Patrick DeBarge (born June 4, 1961) is an American singer, songwriter and musician. He was the focal point and primary lead singer of the family group DeBarge. Popular songs led by El DeBarge include "Time Will Reveal", "Who's Holding Donna Now", "Stay with Me", "All This Love", and "Rhythm of the Night".
In the mid-1980s, El and Bunny each went solo and DeBarge was subsequently released from its contract. The remaining members, now augmented by their eldest brother, Bobby, signed with Stripe Horse Records, an independent label, in 1987, which released their final studio album, Bad Boys .
Beginning with the album cover, El DeBarge seeks to reproduce the same atmosphere that Gaye's pictorial illustration did. His eye-catching depiction is both '60s and '70s retro, but also offers a '90s urban feel with some of the cultural images.
