The Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA, French: meaning "Grenoble Alps University") is a public research university and a grand établissement in Grenoble, France. Founded in 1339, it is the third largest university in France with about 60,000 students and over 3,000 researchers.
On a 175-hectare site, the university domain is a great place to study and work, and is regularly ranked in the top student city rankings. A number of UGA's institutions are located in downtown Grenoble, as well as in the southern districts of Grenoble and Echirolles.
