David Orams is a New Zealand bass guitarist and vocalist. He was, briefly, the first bassist with Little River Band in 1975. He was replaced by Roger McLachlan before the band started to tour and record.
Dave Orams was the original bassist for the Little River Band, also joining in 1975. Like Graham Davidge, his time with the band was short-lived, limited to the early stages of the band’s development. Orams helped lay down the foundational bass lines that shaped the band’s early musical direction.

10. Sept. 2020 · The new Mississippi convened in Melbourne in February 1975 with ex-Quincy Conserve bassist Dave Orams and future- Goanna guitarist Graham Davidge. Their name-change came about as they carpooled to a gig and passed the Little River exit. Shorrock suggested “Little River” as a possible song title.

5. Juli 2016 · So old side-kick Dave Orams was dragged screaming into the line-up, where his striking resemblance to Bill Wyman caused many a young girl’s heart to flutter. The stage was set: all they needed now was a break. It came in the form of an early morning phone call one Saturday to Bari’s parent’s music store in Stratford.
