Established in 1947, the Secondary School for Design and Photography, Ljubljana runs three educational programmes: Design (graphic design, industrial design and fashion design), Photography, and the Art Grammar School (comprising a classic grammar school syllabus with additional visual arts subjects on architecture, art history, etc).
The first secondary school of this type was established in 1958 as Secondary Textile School, today the Secondary School for Design and Photography, Ljubljana is quite popular among young people in Maribor, in the North Eastern region of Slovenia.
Now, he works as a teacher for graphic design at Secondary School for Design and Photography in Ljubljana. His creative areas are: paining, illustration and graphic design. He won different national and international awards, and had exhibitions in the country and broad.
Ljubljana Multimedia and Graphic Technology Secondary School is the only school in Slovenia that provides a holistic education for vocations in Media and Graphic Technology.
The Academy of Visual Arts (AVA), Ljubljana offers advanced undergraduate and postgraduate (MA) programmes in contemporary visual arts. It is a school that encourages its students to develop into confident, creative, and independent professional artists. AVA programmes are approved by SQAA.
Graduates become experts in the field of visual communications and UX/UI design with competencies in corporate identity design, advertising, illustration, packaging design, typography, photography, video, web and interactive design.
Lana Bregar (1998) studied photography at the Secondary School for Design and Photography in Ljubljana. Photography was not her only passion, though. While in school, she felt a desire to link stories into a more unified whole and started making films.
