Planet P Project is a pseudonym used by American rock musician Tony Carey for his science-fiction themed, progressive rock/space rock music.
2003 gab Carey nach langer Bühnenabstinenz wieder einige Konzerte. Mit der 2004 veröffentlichten CD 1931 – Go Out Dancing, Part 1 fand auch das Planet P Project nach 20 Jahren eine Fortsetzung.

After officially dismantling Planet P Project in 2009, Carey again revived the project with the release of Steeltown in 2013, under the name Tony Carey's Planet P Project. Contributors included guitarist Ronnie Le Tekro, Jimmy Durand on guitars and drums and Jostein 'Sarge' Svarstad on guitars.
