Isaiah 65. Romans 3:19-23. Good Deeds and Dirty Rags is the first album from the Scottish group Goodbye Mr Mackenzie. It was released in the UK in 1989. The original LP was released with an accompanying 12" single. Good Deeds and Dirty Rags was remastered in 1999 for the US market by record company Razor Tie.

For we have all become like one who is unclean [ceremonially, like a leper], and all our righteousness (our best deeds of rightness and justice) is like filthy rags or a polluted garment; we all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away [far from God’s favor, hurrying us toward destruction].
2 God calls us to do good. A recurring feature of Isaiah is the pleading of the L ord for his people to give up their evil and turn back to righteous living. The L ord says, "Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean, take away from before my eyes the evil of your deeds. Cease to do evil, learn to do good" (Isaiah 1:16-17).
