Roger has written for, and played guitar, bass, and vocals in the band since 2007, using the stage persona of "Chubby Wombat Moonalice." In 2014 he formed a duo with Jason Crosby called the Doobie Decibel System. In 2015, The Doobie Brothers sued the band over the name.
The band is currently made up of ten musicians, and led by businessman Roger McNamee. Their eponymous debut album was recorded and released in 2009 and followed by a series of E.P.s named "Dave's Way," featuring mostly new material. [6]

On the music side he is a guitarist, vocalist and founding member of The Flying Other Brothers. He is also a member of Moonalice. He was responsible for the incorporation of Dylan Chambers and Lester Chambers of The New Chambers Brothers into Moonalice fold.
