Tehanu, also known as Therru, is a burned child adopted by Tenar and a main character in the fourth book of Earthsea, Tehanu and the final book, The Other Wind. She is eventually revealed to be a dragon, born as a human. Tehanu was born to a family of itinerant beggars and theives on Gont.
Originally published in 1990 by Atheneum, Tehanu is the fourth title in the beloved Earthsea cycle. The Folio Society published a hardcover edition with illustrations by David Lupton in 2023.
