Reeves Gabrels (born June 4, 1956) is an American guitarist, songwriter and producer. Currently a member of The Cure since 2012, Gabrels is also known for his work with David Bowie and Tin Machine from 1987 to 1999.
He Got Game is a soundtrack and sixth studio album by American hip hop group Public Enemy, released on April 28, 1998, under Def Jam Recordings. It was released as the soundtrack to Spike Lee's 1998 film of the same name and was the group's last album for Def Jam until 2020's What You Gonna Do When the Grid Goes Down.

Later in the year found Gabrels working with Public Enemy (He Got Game), adding lead guitar and assorted effects to Dave Navarro demos and playing slide guitar on the Rolling Stones’ single Out Of Control. He finished out the year by composing and recording the soundtrack for The Farmer’s Wife, a six-hour episodic documentary for PBS.
Gabrels has written soundtracks for films including David Sutherland’s “The Farmer’s Wife” (Frontline, 1997) and for PBS productions, and collaborated with Public Enemy on the song “Go Cat Go” for the Spike Lee film “He Got Game” (soundtrack, Def Jam, 1998).
