Art of the State is the first studio album by the Christian rock band AD, and the third solo album for its leader Kerry Livgren. The album was re-issued in the late 1990s under Livgren's new record label, Numavox Records.

Kerry Allen Livgren (* 18. September 1949 in Topeka, Kansas) [1] ist ein US-amerikanischer Rockmusiker (Gitarrist, Keyboarder und Komponist). Bekannt wurde er vor allem als Gründungsmitglied der Progressive-Rock -Band Kansas. Während seiner Zeit als Bandmitglied war er deren Hauptkomponist.
