This Black Lion CD differs from most in that he utilizes a sextet. In addition to Hines (who consistently takes solo honors), there are some good spots for trumpeter Doc Cheatham (who was soon to be rediscovered himself), Rudy Rutherford (on clarinet, alto and tenor) and guitarist Jack Wilkins.
