Keep Your Eye on Me is a pop/R&B/dance album by Herb Alpert, released in 1987. It contains two hit singles, "Diamonds" and "Making Love in the Rain" (both featuring lead and background vocals by Janet Jackson and Lisa Keith).
1987 hatten die Modern-Jazz-Funk-Vocal-Titel Keep Your Eye on Me und Diamonds (bei dem Janet Jackson den Gesangspart übernahm) Erfolg. Alpert spielte in der Folge auch auf Platten der Künstlerin einige Soloparts ein. Zusammen mit Lou Adler und Sam Cooke schrieb er Cookes Hit (What A) Wonderful World (1960).

Herb's wife - Lani Hall - sings a duet with Herb on the beautiful "Pillow". The other tunes were produced by Herb and friends. Herb does some hot trumpet playing on "Traffic Jam" (evoking memories of Miles Davis), "Cat Man Do", and the gorgeous "Our Song". Contemporary music from a contemporary artist!
