Donald Eugene Ulrich (August 15, 1941 – July 17, 1974), best known by the stage name Don Rich, was an American country musician who helped develop the Bakersfield sound in the early 1960s. He was a noted guitarist and fiddler, and a member of The Buckaroos, the backing band of Don's best friend, country singer Buck Owens.
In 1994, he cut his first album on Party Time Records, called Louisiana’s Own. That same year, he won Male Vocalist of The Year from the South Louisiana Music Association. In 1995, he snagged awards for Musician of The Year, Overall Group of The Year, and Male Vocalist of The Year.
An ethnic Cajun, Don Rich (real name Donald Joseph Richard, pronounced ree-shard in the Cajun French manner) (born July 23, 1954) is a popular south Louisiana swamp pop singer.
