Pete Agnew. Nazareth are a Scottish hard rock band formed in Dunfermline in 1968 that had many hit singles and albums in Canada, the United Kingdom, and a number of other European countries beginning in the early 1970s.

Pete Agnew spielt seit über 50 (!) Jahren Bass bei der schottischen Hardrock- Legende Nazareth – er ist zudem das letzte verbliebene Gründungsmitglied der weltweit sehr erfolgreichen Band. In der aktuellen Besetzung sitzt seit 1999 sein Sohn Lee am Schlagzeug.
Im Jahr 1961 gründete Pete Agnew in seiner Heimatstadt Dunfermline die Band The Shadettes, eine Blues/Soul und Rock ’n’ Roll Cover-Band, die hauptsächlich in Pubs und kleineren Clubs aufspielte.
