Rocky Burnette (born Jonathan Burnette, June 12, 1953) is an American singer and musician and the son to the rockabilly and pop singer Johnny Burnette.
Er entstammt einer musikalischen Familie. Neben seinem Vater Johnny hat auch sein Onkel Dorsey Burnette Rock-’n’-Roll- und Rockabilly-Geschichte mitgeschrieben. Sein Cousin ist Billy Burnette, Sohn von Dorsey und ehemaliges Mitglied der Musikgruppe Fleetwood Mac.

But Rocky Burnette (the kid wearing diaper on the cover that’s him!) has enough experience and talent and is not trapped by this heritage, and where some would have been happy to carry on with the name and be just copycats, he proposes something new and personnal.

Rocky Burnette grew up around the music from day one. His father was rockabilly hell-raiser Johnny Burnette, whose mid-’50s sides for the Coral label as front man for the Memphis-based Rock ’n Roll Trio helped pioneer the genre.
