Die Staatliche Universität Mostar (Sveučilište u Mostaru) ist eine in kroatischer Sprache lehrende Institution in Mostar. Sie befindet sich im Zentrum des Stadtteils Rondo und besteht seit 1977. Während des akademischen Jahres 1992/93 wurde kroatisch als offizielle Sprache und der aktuelle Name angenommen.
Im akademischen Jahr 1994/95 kam es im Ostteil von Mostar zu einer weiteren Universitätsneugründung mit bosnischer Sprache, die den früheren Namen Džemal Bijedić annahm. Beide Universitäten bezeichnen sich als legale Nachfolger der Ursprungsuniversität, die sich seit der Einführung der Bologna-Regeln einen Wettbewerb um Ansehen und Studentenzahlen ...
Es gibt elf Fakultäten, an welchen Studienprogramme für Bachelor- und Masterabschlüsse entsprechend der Bologna-Regeln angeboten werden.[4]

The University of Mostar (Croatian: Sveučilište u Mostaru; Latin: Universitas Studiorum Mostariensis) is the largest public university located in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Previously it was called the University Džemal Bijedić of Mostar, named after a socialist politician Džemal Bijedić.
Founded in the late 1970s, the university is notable for its Academy of Fine Arts and a diverse range of degree options and faculties. Around 16,000 students are enrolled at the University of Mostar, making it the third-largest university in the country.
Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar is aiming to be a flexible, functional and socially responsible higher-education institution, recognized in the region for its modern study programs of all cycles, and oriented toward cooperation, internationalization and high quality.
