The Ohio Theatre is a performing arts center and former movie palace on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. Known as the "Official Theatre of the State of Ohio", the 1928 building was saved from demolition in 1969 and was later completely restored.
The Ohio State University Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts is a vibrant community committed to nurturing the artist- scholars of the future. We believe new work is essential to the evolution and continued relevance of the theatre.

Today, the Ohio Theatre is home to the Columbus Symphony, BalletMet, and Broadway in Columbus, and also hosts CAPA-presented performances, as well as a wide variety of touring artists and shows each year.
