Boston is an American rock band formed in 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts, by multi-instrumentalist Tom Scholz, who was joined by vocalist Brad Delp, guitarist Barry Goudreau, bassist Fran Sheehan and drummer Jim Masdea (who was replaced by Sib Hashian ).

It was producer Boylan and his engineer Warren Dewey who suggested Boston.
