New-Weird-Erfolgsautor China Miéville hat mit "Un Lun Dun" einen so genannten Young-Adult-Roman verfasst, sich dabei eher herkömmlicher Plot-Formeln bedient und das ganze mit einer Reihe skurriler Ideen sowie unerwarteter Wendungen aufgepeppt. Das Ergebnis vermag jedoch nicht ganz zu überzeugen.
