1. Feb. 2017 · Stepping in as H.R.'s replacement in the Bad Brains was never going to be an easy task, but for a 20-year-old singer named Israel Joseph I, the challenge felt like an opportunity he couldn't let slip by.
It is the first Bad Brains album to be released on a major label (Epic Records) and is notable for the absence of two original members: here, Israel Joseph I replaces vocalist H.R. and Cro-Mags drummer Mackie Jayson, who was a session musician on the band's previous album Quickness, replaces drummer Earl Hudson.
Israel Joseph-I. American rasta singer born in Trinidad. Do not confuse with Joseph I, an alias used by H.R., the original Bad Brains 's vocalist that he replaced in between 1991 and 1994 and again in 2008.
