Ronald S. Welty [2] (born February 1, 1971) [1] is an American former musician and the former drummer for the punk rock band the Offspring, where he was a member from 1987 to 2003 and served as the band's longest-serving drummer. After the Offspring, Welty formed Steady Ground .
Whatever Happened Ron Welty anyway? I know he left the band in 2003, he formed a new project called Steady Ground and they broke up in 2007. Since then no one has heard from him. 8. März 2023 · A judge dismissed all claims by Ron Welty, who sued the band for millions more from its $35 million catalog sale in 2015. He alleged he was owed royalties and that the band tried to erase his contributions, but the court rejected his arguments as illogical.

Im selben Jahr verließ Schlagzeuger Ron Welty die Band. Josh Freese ersetzte ihn zunächst bei den Aufnahmen des neuen Albums. Die Band besuchte Hawaii und nahm zusammen mit der Surfertruppe Da Hui ein Surfvideo auf. Die Aufnahmen wurden dem neuen Album als Extra beigefügt, das unter dem Titel Splinter erschien.
