Paul Geary (born July 24, 1961 in Medford, Massachusetts) is an American rock and roll drummer and Artist Manager. He was co-founder and drummer of the Rock band Extreme, which he left in 1994 to pursue a career in artist management. Geary founded Global Artist Management in Boston in 1995.

Extreme ging aus der 1981 gegründeten Band The Dream hervor, die 1983 ein sechs Lieder umfassendes Album aufnahm und veröffentlichte. 1985 gewann die Gruppe mit ihrem Lied Mutha (Don’t Want to Go to School Today) einen vom Musiksender MTV veranstalteten Wettbewerb, im gleichen Jahr benannten sich die Musiker in Extreme um und holten mit Nuno Betten...
Mike Mangini wurde auf dem Album Waiting for the Punchlinezwar als Bandmitglied genannt, nahm tatsächlich aber nur drei Lieder mit der Gruppe auf. Bei den restlichen Titeln spielte noch Paul Geary...Anfang der 1990er Jahre hatte Nuno Bettencourt einen Cameo-Auftritt, als er selbst im Videoclip von Stuttering John zu I’ll Talk My Way Out of It (neben Gene Simmons und Sting) auftrat.Extreme steuerte 1994 mit der Coverversion des Kiss-Liedes Strutter einen Titel zum Tributealbum Kiss My Assbei.Das Album Pornograffitti wurde mit dem Lied More than Wordspromotet.Livealben

14. Mai 2018 · Pornograffitti was by turns playful, earnest, riotous, fun and – yes – funky. Let’s step out of the story for a moment. If you’re coming to Extreme for tales of hedonism or substance abuse or studio trashing or even great anecdotes, then you’ll be disappointed. They were far too slick for that.
Paul Geary is originally known as the co-founder, drummer and co-manager for the Boston based Multi-Platinum rock band, Extreme. The group was best known for their #1 smash hit "More Than Words" which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in June 1991, and was nominated for a Grammy the same year.
