The John Paul College Board of Trustees has decided to make devices mandatory for all Year 7-9 students in 2017. After considerable research it has been determined that it will be in the best interests of their education.

John Paul College is well known for providing a top-class learning environment preparing international students to become confident and capable global citizens. Students come from a variety of different countries making up a significant portion of the school’s population.
John Paul College is a Catholic secondary school in Rotorua, New Zealand. The co-educational school enrolls students in years 7 to 13. It was opened in 1987 and combined two existing schools, Edmund Rice College (for boys) and MacKillop College (for girls). [ 4 ]
Te Kura o Hoani Pāora – John Paul College was founded in 1987 with the amalgamation of Edmund Rice College and MacKillop College. We recently welcomed Mr Justin Harper to our Kura as our new Tumuaki – Principal.
Surrounding the city are sixteen exquisite forest-fringed lakes renowned for their trout fishing and boating. Its world-famous mountain biking venue is a must and the local rivers offer numerous thrilling white water and kayaking adventures.
