John Emmet Raitt (/ r eɪ t /; January 29, 1917 – February 20, 2005) was an American actor and singer best known for his performances in musical theatre.
John Raitt was a baritone singer and actor who originated roles in \"Oklahoma!\", \"Carousel\" and \"The Pajama Game\". He had a long and successful career in musical theatre, TV and concerts, and was the father of blues/rock singer Bonnie Raitt.
