Wayne Krantz is an American guitarist and composer. He has performed and recorded with Steely Dan, Michael Brecker, Donald Fagen, Billy Cobham, Chris Potter, David Binney, and Carla Bley. Since the early 1990s, Krantz has focused primarily on his solo career, mostly as the leader of a trio with Tim Lefebvre and Keith Carlock.
Seit 1997 veröffentlicht sie ihre Alben auf ihrem eigenen Plattenlabel Leni Stern Recordings (LSR), das Jazz und Musik von Singer-Songwritern herausgibt. Viermal wurde sie als Best Female Jazz Guitarist mit dem „Gibson Award“ ausgezeichnet.

März 2021 · To be released on March 19, 2021 on the Abstract Logix imprint, Music Room 1985 was laid down by Krantz alone in a Reseda garage studio in the summer of 1985, with Krantz handling all the compositional and instrumental duties himself. Its six tracks predate his first solo album by five years.
Along with such collaborators as saxophonists David Sanborn and Bob Berg and drummer Dennis Chambers, the Secrets, Closer to the Light and Ten Songs records featured Wayne Krantz in the lineup on second guitar.
