Noel Scott Engel (January 9, 1943 – March 22, 2019), better known by his stage name Scott Walker, was an American-British singer-songwriter and record producer who resided in England. Walker was known for his emotive voice and his unorthodox stylistic path which took him from being a teen pop icon in the 1960s to an avant-garde musician from the 1980s to his death.

His earliest material was released under his own name in the late 1950s. His most successful period in his career was between the years 1965 and 1970 where in he released three albums with The Walker Brothers, before going on to record a number of popular albums as a solo artist.

These are songs recorded when Walker was Engel and in his teens and are light centurys away from the Walker who recorded the ground breaking "Tilt". If you want EVERYTHING Walker recorded then yes, this album is for you but, if you appreciate the finer works ...
