Stuart Hamm (born February 8, 1960) is an American bass guitar player, known for his session and live work with numerous artists as well as for his unconventional playing style and solo recordings.
Hamm studierte am Berklee College of Music in Boston, wo er den Gitarristen Steve Vai und über diesen Joe Satriani kennenlernte. 1984 spielte Hamm auf dem ersten Solo-Album "Flex-Able" von Vai, später mit Frank Gambale, Richie Kotzen und anderen bekannten Gitarristen.
