Vanderbilt University Law School (also known as VLS) is the law school of Vanderbilt University. Established in 1874, it is one of the oldest law schools in the southern United States. Vanderbilt Law enrolls approximately 640 students, with each entering Juris Doctor class consisting of approximately 175 students.
The majority of the Class of 2026 (64%) graduated college at least one year before entering VLS; 30% were age 24 to 31 at entry. Collectively, the members of the class bring a wealth of experience in a variety of areas.

How to Apply. All applicants must take the LSAT and register with the J.D. Credential Assembly Service (CAS) through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). You will need your registration "L number" to complete your application and to request an interview.
