He was best known for his starring roles in the films Wild in the Streets (1968) and Ryan's Daughter (1970), and for playing the title role in the 1960s television series The Legend of Jesse James .
Christopher Jones was a cult star of the late '60s counterculture era, known for roles in Wild in the Streets, Ryan's Daughter and The Looking Glass War. He had a troubled personal life, a volatile relationship with Susan Strasberg, and a brief comeback in Mad Dog Time.
