  5. Mark Hateley started his football career at Coventry City, and captured Milan's attention scoring 22 goals for Portsmouth in the 1983/84 season. Powerful, hard-fighting and excellent in the air, he joined Milan in the following season along with his national teammate Ray Wilkins.
