Joseph „Joe“ Mercer, OBE (* 9. August 1914 in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire; † 9. August 1990 in Manchester) war ein englischer Fußballspieler und -trainer. Dabei konnte er sowohl als Spieler des FC Everton und des FC Arsenal ebenso die englische Meisterschaft gewinnen wie als Trainer von Manchester City.
Joseph Mercer OBE (9 August 1914 – 9 August 1990) was an English footballer and manager. Mercer, who played as a defender for Everton and Arsenal in his footballing career, also went on to manage Aston Villa and Manchester City , and was the caretaker manager of the England national football team .
