Detlef Schrempf (* 21. Januar 1963 in Leverkusen) ist ein ehemaliger deutschamerikanischer Basketballspieler, der seit dem Verlust seiner deutschen Staatsangehörigkeit nur noch die US-Staatsbürgerschaft besitzt.
Detlef Schrempf (born January 21, 1963) is a German-American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Washington Huskies from 1981 to 1985, and was drafted into the National Basketball Association (NBA) by the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the 1985 NBA draft, with the eighth overall pick.
Detlef Schrempf was a German-born small forward and power forward who played 16 seasons in the NBA. He was a three-time All-Star, a two-time Sixth Man of the Year, and a member of the 1994-95 All-NBA team.
