Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata LH (29 July 1904 – 29 November 1993) was an Indian industrialist, philanthropist, aviator and chairman of Tata Group. Born into the Tata Family of India, he was the son of noted businessman Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata and his wife Suzanne Brière.

Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata (1856–1926) was an Indian businessman who played a pivotal role in the growth of the Tata Group in India. He was one of the partners in Tata Sons founded by Jamsetji Tata . Ratanji was the father of J. R. D. Tata .
It is a measure of the man and the life he lived that long before his demise, Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata came to represent an exalted idea of Indianness: progressive, benevolent, ethical and compassionate. It did not really matter that the country itself failed this utopian test.
Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata is born in Paris, the second of four children of Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata (Jamsetji Tata’s first cousin) and his wife, Suzanne Briere. 1909 The Tatas purchase a house on the beach in Hardelot, France, where the young ‘Jeh’, as he is fondly known, is enthralled by their neighbour, aviator Louis Bleriot.
