Alina Alekseevna Somova (Russian: Али́на Алексе́евна Со́мова; born 22 October 1985) is a Russian ballet dancer and principal dancer with the Mariinsky Ballet of Saint Petersburg.
Prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theatre. Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 2003. The same year was admitted to the Mariinsky Ballet Company and one year later was promoted to a soloist. A well-known ballerina not only in Russia, but all over the world.
Alina Somova wurde in Leningrad geboren und erhielt ihre Tanzausbildung in der Waganowa-Ballettakademie in St. Petersburg. 2002 wurde sie Teil des Ballettensembles am Mariinsky-Theater, in dem sie ein Jahr später zur Demi-Solistin und 2008 als jüngste Primaballerina der Compagnie zur Ersten Solistin aufstieg.
