Karen Mary Nelson Moore (born November 19, 1948) is an American attorney and jurist serving as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Her chambers are in Cleveland, Ohio.

Karen Nelson Moore is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. She joined the court in 1995 after being nominated by President Bill Clinton. Early life and education. A native of Washington, D.C., Moore earned her bachelor's degree from Radcliffe College in 1970 and her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1973.
