When gangsters threaten the life of the brother of a nurse, she and her superintendent make it look as if he died while a hospital patient. The first of three films made featuring the Nurse Sarah Keate character created by Mignon Eberhardt.
A nurse's brother who's pursued by the mob, hides out in a hospital by pretending to be a patient.
As the night superintendent of a metropolitan hospital, Miss Keats does her best to handle the personal problems of her staff -- especially nurse Ann (Sally Blane), whose brother Tracy (George Walcott) is being victimized by mobsters.
With the police in pursuit, Allen crashes the car, forcing all to flee by foot. Back at the bank, Dr. David McKerry pronounces a guard dead while his fiancée, nurse Ann Smith, is questioned about the robbery.
