Benny Moore is a tough factory worker whose years are starting to count. He finds himself in a working environment in which all colleagues are a lot younger than him. This also occurs outside, in the nightlife. He feels threatened by this new guard and he has to live with it.
Louis Gossett, Jr., is the fiercely independent Benny, Cicely Tyson is the gentle, loving woman who patches him up following a mugging by her young nephew, and Anna Maria Horsford is his younger-woman girlfriend who is pressuring him for a commitment.
