When beloved Debbie Martin commits suicide, her preacher husband Andrew grieves alongside the whole town and especially Debbie's mom, Susan. But then moments long forgotten and incidents about Andrew's strange behavior start bubbling to the surface.
Inspired by a true story, the film portrays the shocking tale of the mysterious suicide of Debbie Martin, the beloved wife of Andrew Martin, the town Reverend. But as days pass, Andrew's strange behavior catches the eye of Debbie's mom, Susan Parker, who suspects something is not right....

Sins of the Preacher is a TV movie described as a thriller. The main problem is that it's not very thrilling at all. Almost since the very beginning it's apparent that Debbie Martin's death is a murder case and not a suicide as it's been ruled.
