Dr. Monica was Kay Francis’ twelfth movie with Warner Bros., and the last of her Pre-Code career. It was her second picture which featured Kay as a doctor, and the success of Mary Stevens, M.D. (1933) had WB ready to get something out there that Kay Francis fans would love to see.
