Santos is a 2008 Spanish-Chilean comedy film directed and written by Nicolás López which stars Javier Gutiérrez, Elsa Pataky, Leonardo Sbaraglia, and Guillermo Toledo. Billed as a "romantic comedy about the end of the world", [1] it is López's sophomore feature after Promedio rojo.
The Dominican director studied film in Buenos Aires and Edinburgh and has an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. His first short film SheSaid HeWalks HeSaid SheWalks won a BAFTA Scotland in 2009 while his documentary You Look Like a Carriage … was part of the major Latin America art exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
