Popular reviews. ★★½. As an ABC movie of the week/pilot, The Pigeon isn't anything special. As a testament to inspired casting, it's a slamdunk. Sammy Davis Jr plays a PI who gets wrapped up with his client Dorothy Malone and her daughter Victoria Vetri, 1968 Playmate of the Year.
