Carl Allen Biography. With over 200 recordings to his credit, the gifted Milwaukee-born, New York-based drummer, sideman, bandleader, entrepreneur, and educator, Carl Allen’s profound and propulsive percolations provided soulful and syncopated support for nearly three decades.
Carl Allen is a versatile and influential jazz musician who has played with many renowned artists and recorded over 200 albums. He is also a co-founder of Big Apple Productions and Nella Productions, and a teacher and mentor of young jazz musicians.
